DAKO-CZ will start supplying brake components for another 22 six-vehicle subway trains this year. The newly acquired contract is the second option for the previously performed contracts from 2013- 2015 and 2018-2021. The brake components will be fitted with Inspiro platform sets designated as C2 from Siemens.
It was the C2 metro trains that won several prestigious design awards, namely the Red Dot Award, the Universal Design Award 2013 and the Design Consumer Favorite 2013. The deliveries of brake components for the Munich underground trains will include pneumatic modules, N8.1 anti-skid valves, differential valves, air suspension valves, cocks, pantographs, emergency valves, diagnostic connections, chokes, connectors, and air reservoirs. The contract will be completed by 2023. In total, our company DAKO-CZ from Třemošnice will be delivering brake components for 67 six-vehicle sets of the Munich metro from 2013 to 2023.
